The tile is “So Ten Minutes Ago” to reflect two situations.
1. omg, that’s, like, sooooo ten minutes ago!: something that is not brand new—but context is definitely key here. It could be something that happened earlier in the week, earlier in the month, the previous year, or even further back, depending on the nature of the thing at hand. In every case, I think the topic is still worth our attention, even though newer and buzzier things have entered the scene.
2. [sigh] so, ten minutes ago…[something bad happened]: We’ve all logged on to find breaking news and a flow of posts about the latest catastrophe. The news cycle is terrifying and exhausting and horrible things are happening constantly. I am (we are?) physically incapable of focusing on current events without feeling like my health and well-being are suffering. The posts here are all meant to be short and sweet and light-hearted in hopes of boosting moods and giving life in between the doom and gloom. An antidote to doomscrolling, if you will.
Nothing here is meant to distract us or to excuse indifference, but to be a refresher as we gather our wits and find the motivation to keep going and keep pushing.
