blips of goodness amidst the chaos

You Had Me At “Three Months of Baby Elephants” 🐘

For no logical reason, I go bonkers for elephants—so of course the socials run by the fine folks at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust are some of my favorite places on the internet.

It’s not my place to tell you how to live (usually), but you probably want to give them a peek, trust me.

Also, since you’re here to enjoy elephants, can I show you these photos taken in 2024 by my spouse, from our safari vehicle in Disneyworld?

Now, normally I’m a little judgy of people taking pictures of animals in exhibits (the zoo already has better pictures online! I promise!) but like Dr. Jake Houseman tells Jonny Castle during the final number in Dirty Dancing: when I’m wrong, I say I’m wrong. These photos taken by my husband from a ride vehicle with a height requirement are treasure.

Because yes, the baby elephant *was* in the process of faceplanting which was just as adorable and amazing as you’d expect (she was fine!).

Elephants: they’re just like us (clumsy mofos)
All was well moments later.
