Two days ago, I turned 30.
As if being a writer didn’t make me reflective enough, adding a looming birthday to the mix sure did. So, what better way to commemorate one’s twenties than a numerically-themed blog post? Here’s twenty numbers, to describe the last ten years…
- 8: residences in…
- 4 cities in…
- 2 states*
- 1: home owned
- 1: Bachelors degree earned
- 300 pop songs obsessed over
- 18 male celebrities swooned over
- 1: husband married
- 1: pet rabbit raised
- 1: pet dog welcomed
- 5: countries traveled*
- 10: states visited
- 2: novels completed
- 2: more novels outlined
- 215,000+ words of fiction written
- 50+ flights taken
- 1,825ish cups of coffee consumed
- 0: tattoos tatted/piercings pierced

While it’s a bit early to make any significant predictions about my 30s as a whole, I can say that the first two days have been awesome. Here’s what they’ve entailed:
- 2 dear friends in town visiting
- 2 more who came out for the whole day
- 2 more who came out to dinner
- 2 family members who joined in
- 1 winery
- 1 hard cider tasting room
- 1 brewery
- 2 favorite restaurants
