Well, the inaugural post of a new blog is a tricky thing, isn’t it? No pressure, right? Let me first humbly thank you for stopping by. If I could offer a personal welcome to everyone, I would. I’d happily say, “Come in, take off your shoes. Want something to drink? No? You sure? Okay, let me offer you some words and sentences instead.”
…Except we all know blogs don’t work that way, and our apartment isn’t that big. So, please know this: I’m glad you’re here. We’ve got quite a journey ahead of us! Some of the writing I plan to offer up to the blogging community is likely to include, but won’t be limited to:
- lessons learned while attempting to get my first novel published
- anecdotes on balancing creative pursuits and a traditional career
- trials and errors of wife-ing (it’s a verb now. Have you heard?)
- tales of a native Northwesterner navigating through SoCal culture
More on all of those topics later. In the meantime, please make yourself at home and don’t be a stranger.
